Professor Etel Solingen is a Chancellor's Professor at the University of California, Irvine and is the President of the ISA for 2012-2013. Her talk will be based on  the volume she edited, Sanctions, Statecraft, and Nuclear Proliferation. The book addresses the following question: How have trade, aid, investments, diplomacy, financial measures, and military threats affected different groups?
