Join Chicago-area Culture WONKs for one of the Windy City's most special treats, the famed Chicago River Architecture Tour. Before boarding the boat at the Wendella Boats dock, guests will enjoy brunch at the Hotel Palomar and a presentation on Chicago's unique history from native Chicagoan and AU's Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations, Dr. Thomas J. Minar. 

Our cruise and tour will be operated by Wendella Boat Tours, Chicago's Original Architecture Tour, in operation since 1935.  The tour will last 75 minutes and will lead us through all three branches of the Chicago River.  We'll see the new and rehabbed residential buildings on the north branch, the office buildings including the Willis Tower on the south branch, and the range of architectural styles on the main branch which rose after the Great Chicago Fire of 1871.

Cost to attend is $35 per person and includes brunch and the boat tour ticket.
