Join the American University Alumni Association and The Center for Community Engagement and Service as we celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his commitment to service.
The MLK Day of Service event provides the AU Community the opportunity to participate and engage with the local community and learn about issues that impact District communities. This one day event will encourage AU alumni and students to continue their explorations of the city and the concerns of local residents.
The Day of Service is normally celebrated on the third Monday in January, but because of the Presidential Inauguration, the M.L.K. event will be facilitated on Saturday, January 19th.
