Dinner with Alumni: Z. Selin Hur, SIS/CAS/BA '94

The American University Alumni Association is excited to host ten dinners during the fall 2012 semester. These dinners are great career networking opportunities with current experts in the field and fill up fast! This free event is for current students only, and you must register in order to attend.

If you are interested in international development, IT, management consulting, and national security, then this dinner is for you. Meet an AU alumna who has been in your shoes and has now succeeded in doing what you aspire to do.

Z. Selin Hur, SIS/CAS/BA ’94, is a Strategic Programs Principal at CACI International Inc., an Arlington-based professional services and IT solutions company in the areas of defense, intelligence, homeland security, and government IT modernization. Her previous experience includes IT project management at EDS (now HP) and private sector development at the World Bank.  An SIS graduate, Selin also earned an MBA and a Masters in Public & International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh.   In addition to the AU Alumni Board, Selin is also a mentor in the SIS Alumni Mentor-Student program.

While at AU, Selin interned at the Brookings Institution, the U.S. Department of Commerce, GJW Europe (Belgium) and T.C. Ziraat Bank (Turkey).  She participated in AU's study abroad program in Brussels, Belgium and had a one-year work study at the Career Center.  She was also active in the Turkish Student Association.  Selin was born in Ankara, Turkey and grew up in Pittsburgh, PA.  She has lived in Arlington, VA since 1998.
