Join the American University Alumni Association and AU alumni making it happen in the arts. The roundtable discussion provides an opportunity to meet and engage with practitioners who work in the art and culture sectors. Experts will discuss their current occupations and how they navigated their career paths, and will discuss the skills and experiences that are attractive to prospective employers. The luncheon will include a panel discussion and a Q&A session as well as an informal networking opportunity. Attendees will also get the opportunity to view the exhibition at Hillyer Art Space. Don’t miss this great chance to engage with AU Alumni who have successful careers in the arts. The cost to attend is $15.00 per person. Lunch will be provided.
Our esteemed experts include:
Barbara Goldberg, CAS/MFA '85, Senior Speechwriter, American Association of Retired Persons.
John Hale, CAS/MFA '97, Director of Development for The Society of Arts in Healthcare
Kristen Hileman, CAS/BA '95, Curator of Contemporary Art and Department Head, Baltimore Museum of Art.
Also, plan to join us for Fall for the Arts, a unique celebration of the Arts at AU, which will be hosted on September 15, from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Katzen Arts Center. Fall for the Arts will feature an afternoon of dynamic classes and hands-on workshops capped off with an elegant reception and live art auction of works by prominent local artists. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Arts at AU. Register at american.edu/FallForTheArts or by calling 202.885.2436.
