The American University Alumni Association is excited to host ten dinners during the fall 2012 semester. These dinners are great career networking opportunities with current experts in the field and fill up fast! This free event is for current students only, and you must register in order to attend.

If you suffer from any gluten related food conditions such as celiac disease, gluten allergies or gluten intolerance, and you are interested in learning more about what the DC metro area has in terms of food markets, restaurants and other resources then this dinner is for you. 

Jerry Malitz, President of the DC Metro Celiac Association, and his wife Ruth Marcus will host a dinner geared to those who are gluten-free. They will answer all of your questions in order to help make your transition to the DC area as comfortable and as safe as possible when it comes to gluten free food.  This dinner is limited to 8-10 students and is a gluten-free dinner only.

Jerry Malitz, CAS/BA '72, is president, MCS …Strategic Technology Solutions, which he founded in 2007 after serving as the first chief information technology officer at the Institute of Education Sciences within the U.S. Department of Education.  He has worked extensively in all areas of education and has produced several books, videos, and training sessions on the use of technology and data in and for education. He is also the current President of the DC Metro Celiac Association and an avid traveler and sports enthusiast.
