Our Berlin chapter seeks to rekindle some of that Eagle spirit in its members. The chapter provides a range of quality social and networking events to enrich the lives of alumni in Berlin.

Chapter Leader

Nina Keim, SOC/MA '09

Nina Keim is currently working as public affairs consultant in Berlin focusing on media and technology policy, civic engagement and  international communication. In 2010 she conducted a study on the use of social media for a German federal ministry. Nina was previously active as project and communication manager for the German-American Heritage Museum in Washington D.C and as a research fellow at the Center for Social Media in Washington DC researching on the use of new media to promote social change. In addition to her professional occupation Nina volunteered as online moderator for a civic participation initiative by the German Federal President, co-founded a media-education project and is actively blogging on www.amerikawaehlt.de and www.aktiviererblog.de. Nina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in communication and media studies from the University of Duisburg-Essen and received her MA in Public Communication from the American University in Washington DC in 2009.
