American University Entertainment and Media Alumni Alliance

With more than 10,000 alumni trained in entertainment and media, the American University Entertainment and Media Alumni Alliance (EMAA) aims to create a lifelong and worldwide community of AU alumni with current and aspiring careers in motion pictures, music, television, and theater, as well as news, public communication, journalism, documentaries, and service to these industries.

What We Do

There are many ways AU alumni can help strengthen their connections through the EMAA:

  • Gain access to more than 10,000 AU alumni through social media
  • Encourage alumni and friends of AU to maintain an active interest in the University and the EMAA through volunteerism, advocacy, and philanthropy
  • Initiate and promote social, service, family, and career activities to connect alumni and students
  • Encourage prospective students to consider AU for their undergraduate or graduate education
  • Post and review jobs and special assignments through the online alumni communities

New York City Student-Alumni Dinner and Panel Discussion

Please join us for the annual New York City Student-Alumni Networking Dinner and Panel discussion, co-presented by the AU Career Center, the Kogod Center for Career Development, the School of Communication, and the Entertainment and Media Alumni Alliance. Enjoy an evening of networking and exploration as you meet current AU students interested in the careers of marketing, public relations, journalism, film, and related fields. Dinner and soft beverages included in admission; cash bar available.  Cost is $15 for alumni and no charge for current AU students.
