Join D.C. area alumni for an early summer happy hour with the university's academic leadership on the rooftop deck of the Brixton. Visit with Nancy Davenport (University Librarian), Dean Michael Ginzberg (Kogod School of Business), Dean Jim Goldgeier (School of International Service), Dean Barbara Romzek (School of Public Affairs), Dean Jeff Rutenbeck (School of Communication), Dean Carola Weil (School of Professional and Extended Studies), and Billy Walker, the new director of athletics and recreation, while enjoying appetizers and drinks. Cost is $10 to attend and includes free appetizers and one drink ticket.

Culture WONKs: Diaghilev & the Ballet Russes at the National Gallery of Art
Through the courtesy of the Trustees of the National Gallery of Art, American University alumni are invited to join Juliet Bellow, assistant professor of art in the College of Arts and Sciences, for a private tour and viewing of the new upcoming exhibit at the National Gallery of Art, Diaghilev and the Ballet Russes, 1909 - 1929: When Art Danced with Music. A consulting scholar on the exhibit, Professor Bellow will lead our group through the exhibit and then answer questions in a post-tour lunch at the National Gallery's Garden Cafe. Cost to attend is $20 per person.

Part of the Literature Department’s Visiting Writers Series at AU, Linda will discuss her new book, The Last Pilgrimage, about the life and death of her mother, Nancy Daly Riordan.
